Wat Mahasorn is located at 47 Mahasorn Village, Moo 5, Mahasorn Sub-district, Ban Mi District, Lopburi Province. It is a Mahayana Buddhist temple situated on 26 rai, 2 ngan, and 22 square wah of land. The temple grounds are on a low-lying plain next to the Bang Kham River, which was regularly flooded in the past.

The temple buildings include the ubosot (ordination hall) built in 1968, a wooden sermon hall built in 1950, an old prayer hall from 1942, and three monk dormitories. The principal Buddha image in the ubosot has a lap width of 3 sok (approximately 1.5 meters).

Wat Mahasorn was established in 1865 by the local villagers. Luang Por Det was the first abbot and oversaw the construction of the temple's structures. The temple received a royal decree for its ordination boundary in 1966, measuring 26 meters wide and 36 meters long. Currently, there are 13 monks residing at the temple.

Wicker handicrafts are a traditional art form of the people of Mahasorn Sub-district, Ban Mi District, Lopburi Province. The craft began around 1952 when Mrs. Thom Sriwiroon passed on her knowledge to Mrs. Chalo Thanthongkham.

After mastering the craft of making wicker baskets, Mrs. Chalo began teaching her children, grandchildren, and other interested villagers. This led to the formation of a cooperative group called the "Vichit Wicker Basketry Group," located at 15 Moo 6, Mahasorn Sub-district, with Mrs. Chalo as the group leader.

The group's products have become widely known and were selected as a 4-star OTOP (One Tambon One Product) in 2003 and later as a 5-star OTOP in 2006.

From ordinary leaves, a simple natural process transforms them into stunning and beautiful works of art. The natural patterns and colors that appear on the fabric reflect the delicate and intricate artistry of nature itself.

Come and see this beautiful and classic ancient Thai house located by the canal. The house is large and magnificent, with a secret compartment inside for hiding from thieves. According to the descendants of the family, the hiding spot was used once in 1971 when a group of armed thieves was on the loose. The thieves were unable to steal anything, all thanks to this clever hiding spot.

Wat Huai Kaeo is located in Mahasorn Sub-district, Ban Mi District, Lopburi Province. The temple blends Khmer, Thai, and Myanmar architectural styles. Its main structure is a twelve-sided chedi in the Sukhothai style, but the exterior carvings are in the Khmer style. The temple is over 140 years old. A highlight is the chedi in the middle of the water, which houses green and white jade Buddha images inside.

The temple grounds are situated on the Huai Kaeo canal, which is the origin of its name. There are many sacred objects to worship, such as the chedi in the water and the Phra Chedi Maha Metta Rattana Rangsi. The interior of the main chedi is decorated to resemble a forest, creating a sense of peace and coolness. Around the chedi, there are also various sculptures of Apsara deities made of laterite.

Located at Moo 1, Ban Phueng Sub-district, Ban Mi District, Lopburi Province, this river basin is a vital route and the lifeblood of the Bang Phueng community. Its many canals wind through the fields, creating a rich and abundant lifestyle for the locals. In the past, catching small fish like silver barbs, Siamese mud carps, or common carp along the riverbank was a common livelihood.

Also in the area is Wat Khung Tha Lao, notable for the stucco Hanuman figures with open mouths on both sides of the ubosot, decorated with beautiful colored glass. Inside the ubosot, there are murals depicting the Vessantara Jataka and the legend of Phra Malai.

Behind the temple, next to the Bang Kham River, the banks are shaded by trees. You can see fields and ancient Manila-style Thai houses, often called "gingerbread houses." These houses were popular during the late reigns of King Rama VI to King Rama VIII, evolving from the hip-roofed house style. Their distinctive feature is the decorative open-carved woodwork, which the locals call "porng lai," designed to allow air to circulate freely.

Baan Suan Khwan is a modern agricultural community tourism site located along the Bang Kham River. It offers a variety of activities, including professional training, agricultural learning, and homestay accommodations, as well as various workshops for interested visitors.
